This post was sponsored by Greeting Card Universe. They offered me the opportunity to try out their greeting card service and order a couple of cards as samples. I was really impressed with their service and wanted to share my review along with the card designs I picked out. As always, all opinions are honest and my own.
With the holiday season fast approaching, it’s time to think about greeting card shopping! I don’t know about you, but I tend to wait until the very last minute, make a special trip out, and then spend a good 10-20 minutes finding a card at the store from a mostly picked-over selection (yes, that’s my procrastination at it’s finest). Thankfully, in this digital age, there’s a simpler way to do your greeting card shopping, and that’s by ordering them online through sites like Greeting Card Universe.
What I quickly discovered about Greeting Card Universe is that, unlike your standard greeting card shop, they offer a HUGE selection of cards for pretty much any occasion you can imagine, like getting your braces off, pet birthdays, and everything in between! Once you pick out a card design, you can personalize the inside to fit exactly what you want it to say and look like.
Finally, when it comes time to ship it, you have several options to from choose from:
- You can have it mailed to you, so that you can deliver it personally (this is what I did)
- You can have it sent directly to your recipient (it will look just like you sent it, with your return address on the envelope)
- OR, if you need the card last minute, you can pick it up within an hour at most Target or Bartell Drugs stores
I ordered three cards to prep early for the holiday season, and was super impressed with how they turned out. The print quality was the first thing I noticed – all three designs have sharp detailing and vibrant coloring that look about 10x better than anything that’s come out of my at-home printer!
Similar to the cards you’d find at your local greeting card store, these cards are also all printed on professional grade greeting card paper, so they feel sturdy and have some weight to them. Here are the three I picked out:
I LOVE the artwork on this card! It’s by Molly Harrison, an artist that specializes in fairy and fantasy-themed work. I imagine it would be perfect for Halloween or the winter holidays. (And it would look great framed too!)
I thought this design was so cute! Great for a penguin lover! 😉
Lastly, I went for a more traditional Christmas card. I love that you can customize it with the year, and the little jewel ornaments on the tree are so pretty!
Price-wise, for professional and personalized cards, these are very affordable. The cost is $3.50 when you buy one card (about the same as what you’d find at the drugstore/Hallmark). And the more you add to your order, the more you save on each card!
