Amazing Cosmetics offers a full range of high-performing, complexion-perfecting products – from primers and foundations, to blushes and eyeshadows. But their hero product – the brand’s first ever product that coined them the ‘concealer experts’ – is their Amazing Concealer.
Despite it’s long-term success, it’s sort of been under the radar in the beauty blogger world (at least the blogs/vlogs I frequent). Perhaps it’s more widely used my makeup artists? Either way, I’m super happy to have discovered this little gem – here’s my review along with a little before and after/demo so you can see it in action!
Amazing Cosmetics Concealer
What’s the scoop on the Amazing Cosmetics Concealer? According to their website, it’s an ultra-pigmented, water-resistant, long-wearing concealer. But unlike most highly-pigmented concealers, this one stands out for its breathable feel, seamless cake and crease-resistant formula, and natural looking coverage. To top it off, it’s loaded with anti-oxidants plus cucumber fruit extract to nourish and protect the eye area.
“Hollywood’s hottest makeup artists depend on it to create the picture-perfect complexions their celebrity clients expect.”
The Amazing Concealer is available in 19 shades. Shown below, I’m using the shade ‘Light Honey‘.
Amazing Cosmetics Concealer Review
As a full-coverage concealer, Amazing Cosmetics Concealer is as you’d except – super pigmented. A little goes a long way – I use one teeny squeeze from the tube, and that’s typically enough to cover my entire undereye, eyelids, and then some.
The formula is also on the thicker side, though because it’s oil-based and super creamy, it thins out on the skin, spreads evenly, and creates a completely seamless finish. The final result looks completely natural, dewy, and never cakey.
I use my fingers for the entire application process. I’ll first start by warming up the concealer, rubbing it between my two pointer fingers. Then I’ll press the formula down along my undereye area, then continue to tap my fingers all around my eye area to blend. Finally, I’ll work any leftover product onto my nose and inner cheek area (which you’ll see in the below photos). I typically won’t set it with powder (gasp, I know), but even still, it stays put all on me. (It may not look like I dispense a small amount of product from the photos below, but keep in mind – this stuff is thick and it spreads.)
Before & After
As you can see, the Amazing Cosmetics Concealer effectively conceals, neutralizes, and brightens my entire eye area, and then goes on to cover all the redness on my cheeks and nose, and even pimples (using only the residual product left on my fingers after doing my eye area).
I use the shade ‘Light Honey‘ and it’s the perfect match for my light-medium neutral skintone. It’s about 1-2 shades lighter than my skin, which helps to creates a sort of brightening effect under my eyes while still looking natural and seamless. It corrects and perfects so well on its own that I’ve just been skipping the foundation and BB creams all together these days.
Overall, the Amazing Cosmetics Concealer is quite literally amazing. It’s highly pigmented and effortless to apply/blend – no layering required. It’s also hydrating and smoothing, long-lasting, and (most impressively) manages to create a completely natural looking finish despite the heavier coverage. It’s become my new go-to!
