March 2015 Birchbox
This month’s Birchbox theme was “Creativity”. My box contained 6 samples – 5 deluxe sized samples and 1 packet (a bonus!). Here are the samples that were included in my box, followed by my overall March Birchbox review.
Signature by Harry Prince is a nice mix of spice and floral, and feels like a very modern scent. It would really fit any season as it’s not heavy or too light. It lasts about 4-5 hours, on my skin at least. I would definitely consider purchasing a full sized bottle.
The Mirenesse Secret Weapon iCurl 24Hr Mascara just may be my new favorite mascara. It coats your lashes and creates little ‘tubes’ around it, which must be the key to how it holds a curl for 24 hours plus. I slept in this mascara just to test its longevity, and the next day, my lashes looked the same as when I had first applied it!
The Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter Luminizer Gel is a nice shimmery/glittery highlighter. I found it to be quite pigmented and long-lasting.
**Update: Check out my full review of the Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter Highlighter, where I compare it to Benefit High Beam.
Last but not least, my Birchbox came with a nice selection of hair products – complete with a shampoo, masque, and hair oil.
The Beauty Protector Protect & Oil smells amazing, and the Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo is quite impressive – smells good, lathers well, and makes my hair and scalp feel clean without being too drying. I will likely be re-purchasing the shampoo. I haven’t tried the masque yet, but I’m looking forward to it!
Overall, I’m really loving this month’s Birchbox. The box contained a nice mix of hair, makeup, and perfume samples, plus all the products are great quality.
