Dailylook Elite Review & Try On | Box #5

dailylook elite 8 2017 review and unboxing

I’m back with another DailyLook Elite box!  I had quite a bit of luck finding pieces in my previous boxes (the most recent ones from 2017), so I decided to keep my subscription going.  Here’s everything my stylist picked out for me in my box #5, along with my thoughts on each.

Dailylook Elite - Bobi V-Neck Short Sleeve Top

Bobi V-Neck Short Sleeve Top ($48) – First up is a pretty basic v-neck tee with a large side pocket and curved bottom hem.  While I loved the overall fit, shape, and soft, stretchy material, I just didn’t think it was worth near $50 for a basic, so I returned it.

Dailylook Elite - Michael Stars Cold Shoulder Rib Knit Top

Michael Stars Cold Shoulder Rib Knit Top ($78) – Next up is a long sleeve cold-shoulder top made out of a super comfy and stretchy rib knit material.  I was 50/50 on this but ultimately decided to send it back in favor of some other most interesting pieces from this box (trying to limit myself a bit here!).

Dailylook Elite - Bobi Black Brody Asymmetric Wrap Knit Jacket

Bobi Black Brody Asymmetric Wrap Knit Jacket ($98) – I loved the overall fit of this jacket, the thick yet stretchy material, and the square necklace, but the wrap front draped a bit awkwardly in the front, so it went back.

Dailylook High Waist Slimming Ponte Knit Pants

Dailylook High Waist Slimming Ponte Knit Pants ($64) –  I had received these same pants in one of my previous boxes, but since they fit too tight, my stylist sent me the next size up.  Sadly, these fit too loose this time, so they also went back.  Other than the sizing issues, they make the perfect pair of super comfy yet high-quality, sophisticated-looking knit leggings.

Dailylook Elite - Aubrey High Rise Knee Slit Skinny Jeans

Aubrey High Rise Knee Slit Skinny Jeans ($88) – These jeans fit me perfectly, and had just the right amount of stretch to make them super comfy.  I also loved the little knee slits, skinny fit, and high waist.  Needless to say, these went straight into my closet for fall!

Dailylook Elite - Susana Monaco Sailor Stripe V Neck Shift Dress

Susana Monaco Sailor Stripe V Neck Shift Dress ($132) – This dress had the perfect mix of casual and sexy – just what I look for.  It’s made out of a soft stretchy material that hugs curves in certain places without being super tight all around.  It’s also pretty casual, with a t-shirt style thing going on.  It’s a bit short on me, but I figured it would work fine for summer, and maybe even paired with pants or leggings for fall.

Dailylook Elite - Bobi Kosha Cowl Back Knit Tunic

Bobi Kosha Cowl Back Knit Tunic ($78) –  I’m not a huge fan of tunics and long sweaters, so right off the bat, I wasn’t too excited about this piece. (I prefer more bulky tops/sweaters to hit around the waist – I just think it looks more flattering on me).  It was also too short to wear on its own (on my 5’7″ frame at least), especially with the large slit on the right side, so I returned it.

Dailylook Elite - House of Harlow 1960 Arid Wrap Ring

House of Harlow 1960 Arid Wrap Ring ($34) – Last up is the one little accessory that they included in my box.  It’s a silver ring from House of Harlow 1960 – one of my favorite jewelry brands.  I loved its antique look and decided to keep it.

Summary

Overall, my stylist captured my style pretty darn well with this box.  I was happy to have found three pieces worth keeping – the House of Harlow 1960 ring, a new pair of skinny jeans for fall, and a summery striped dress.  (If I wasn’t on a budget, I would have kept the v-neck tee and cold shoulder top as well!)
