After having found a few new pieces to add to my wardrobe from my last Dailylook Elite box, I decided to continue my Elite subscription for a little longer to see what else I might discover. Last month in particular, I was in desperate need of some new shorts and tops for summer, so I put in a few requests, scheduled a box, and finally it has arrived! Here’s a quick rundown of all ten pieces that I received in my latest box.
Ash Ribbed Knit Sleeveless Top ($56) – Starting with the tops, first we have this casual light grey ribbed knit top that’s perfect for summer. It is incredibly comfortable with its loose, swingy fit and soft, stretchy knit material. However, I’m returning it because I didn’t find the loose fit to be particularly flattering on me.
Juliet Lace Off Shoulder Top ($89) – Next, we have a few dressier tops, starting this this lacy off-the-shoulder one in navy. The fit is perfect on me – the shoulders stay put and don’t slip off, and the waist area looks slightly tailored rather than loose and baggy. I also love the navy blue and lace combo, which is somewhat out-of-the-norm from the usual red, black, and white lace tops. Keeping!
Paula Hermanny Barely There Wrap Silk Tank ($126) – Next up is another dressy top, in the form of a silk black tank that shows off quite a bit of skin. I love the wrap front and deep v-neck, and especially the twist straps in the back. My only problem is the fit – even in a small, it’s just way too loose all around, especially in the chest area, so it’s going back.
Dailylook City Girl Rib Knit Off Shoulder Midi Dress ($89) – Moving onto dresses, first we have this ribbed knit off-the-shoulder midi dress. I personally love form-fitting dresses and off-the-shoulders ones especially, but this one is just a bit too casual-looking with the heather grey ribbed material. The fabric is also on the thicker side and almost sweater-like, so it’s best fit for fall/winter, not spring/summer. This one I’ll be returning.
Dailylook Diane Slip Dress ($82) – Next up, we have another dress that’s slightly more dressy. I really liked this one straight out of the box, but after trying it on, I was disappointed to find that it wasn’t my size (I received a medium, instead of my usual small). Otherwise, I likely would have held onto it – it’s double lined, super lightweight and breezy, and has a flattering deep v-neck.
Korye Choker Neck Knit Tunic ($68) – Next up is a casual knit tunic that could even be worn as a dress (for those 5’5″ and under). The only downside for me is, one, the choker neck fits loose and looks a bit awkward, and two, the fit is just way too big and baggy on me (even in a size small). The only place I could really imagine myself wearing this is lounging around the house, so I’m going to return it.
The Laundry Room Ex Boyfriend Jean Shots ($44.99) – Now to the shorts! First up are these casual, boyfriend-style light denim ones. Although the fit is perfect, I’m not too crazy about the large, very prominent rips on both sides. They are also just a tad too long on me (although they could easily be rolled up on the bottom for a shorter fit). Even still, I’m returning these.
Midori Cuffed Hem Denim Shorts ($68) – Next up is the second pair of shorts I received, and I absolutely love them. They feature a classy, clean white denim that goes with everything, plus they fit my waist and hips perfectly. They also have the perfect inseam length – not too short, not too long. Keeping!
Long Cozy Knit Cardigan ($75) – Next we have an army green knit cardigan that falls just below my knees. While I do love the color, the fit, and the soft, slightly stretchy material, I’m sending these back only because I’m not a fan of very long cardigans/jackets. Something about the feeling of all that extra fabric trailing behind me…
BB Dakota V-Neck Chambray Long Sleeve Romper ($98) – The last piece I received in my box is a super cute romper in a light blue chambray with a wrap front and tie waist. Unfortunately, I just could not get it over my waist (I got a size 6 and typically wear size 27 in jeans, so it should have fit). If the waist were elastic, it would have been perfect!
Wrap-Up
Overall, I ended up finding two new pieces to add to my closet – a pair of white shorts and a gorgeous lacy off-the-shoulder top – which made this round of Dailylook Elite a success.
I’ve also decided to continue my subscription to see what the next box has in store, so stay tuned for another review and try-on!
