Today I’m reviewing multi-tasking lip glosses that are worth the splurge…
Eve by Eve’s Lip Lusters
Eve by Eve’s Lip Lusters were formulated to do so much more than add a healthy dose of shine to the lips. They actually double as mini lip treatments by helping to smooth, hydrate, and add volume with the help of water-retaining ingredients like Sodium-Hyaluronate and Ceramide 3. To top it off, Eve by Eve’s created their Lip Luster to be long-wearing (a feat in itself for lip gloss!) with zero stickiness (another huge plus!). Also cruelty-free.
Eve by Eve’s Lip Lusters come in a range of shades – from purples, berries, pinks, peach, orange, and reds. Some are sheer, while others provide buildable color payoff. I tried out one of each, including Crystal (a sheer shine gloss) and Berry Pie (a magenta gloss). Both are infused with stunning holographic, micro-shimmer.
Look at that insane sparkle!

Eve by Eve’s Lip Luster Review
Lip gloss and I don’t typically get along, for a number of reasons. Nine times out of 10 they make my lips feel sticky or goopy, and wear away within just a few hours. When it comes to Eve by Eve’s Lip Lusters however, I just can’t help but place them in an entirely separate category – they perform in ways I never imagined a lip gloss could.
First off, they instantly smooth and moisturize my lips, working as a soothing lip balm and providing instant hydration. Even after the initial shine has faded, they leave my lips feeling super soft and hydrated.
Although the formula is on the thicker side, it’s not at all sticky but instead very comfy and almost cushiony. Even without the stickiness, the Lip Lusters manage to adhere surprisingly well to the lips, making them quite long-wearing for a gloss. With only drinking (and no eating), they gloss lasts me double that of a regular gloss, which is around 3-4 hours of wear. Berry Pie (a colored gloss) lasts me even longer – well past 5 hours. The color actually settles into my lips, working almost like a stain. It also packs impressive color payoff for a gloss and looks gorgeous on its own!
Top both off with some healthy shine, and they make some impressive, multi-tasking lippies! The only drawback? The shimmer isn’t quite as noticeable as I would have expected (though I find that this makes them much more wearable for everyday.)

Although these Lip Lusters are a bit on the pricey side at $38 each, in my opinion, they’re worth it just based off their longevity alone. They require far fewer re-applications throughout the day compared to other glosses around that price range (including the cult-favorite NARS $26 lip glosses). Sometimes you can catch them on sale too, like the one going on now where you can pick up 1 for $29, 3 for $52 ($17.33 each), or 5 for $79 ($15.80 each!).
