This month’s Glossybox just came in! Here’s a rundown of the samples and some of my personal thoughts on the products:
Bellapierre Cosmetics Cheek & Lip Stain (in Pink), More Brows by Model Co, So Susan Cosmetics Concealer Quad
In addition to the deluxe sized Nexxus shampoo, there were three makeup samples included in the March Glossybox, including More Brow by Model Co, Bellapierre Cosmetics Cheek & Lip Stain (in Pink), and a So Susan Cosmetics Concealer Quad. I have to say, I am very impressed with all the products. The Bellapierre Cheek and Lip Stain goes on pretty smoothly on the lips and adds a nice bright pop of color too. It was a little difficult to apply to the cheeks only because I found it hard to spread. I may try mixing it in with another cream product to see if that helps.
So Susan Cosmetics Concealer Quad
The concealer quad by So Susan was probably the biggest surprise out of all the products. At first glance, the formula seemed on the dry side, but I found the trick is to let the whole container sit and heat in your hand for as long as you can. As the concealers warm, they start to become much easier to apply. The color combinations were great for me (@ about an NC-25 to NC27 in MAC), with the peachier color that looked good under the eye, and the yellowish one for covering up elsewhere. The darker shade I found was excellent for contouring, as well as mixing with the lighter shades in the summer (i.e. tanning season!).
More Brows by Model Co
Loved the More Brows brow thickening gel by Model Co. I received it in Medium/Dark, which is great for anyone with dark brown to black eyebrows. This stuff fills in your brows where they may be sparse (you can sort of use the wand to “draw” as you would a pencil and the color will stay on the skin), makes your brows look fuller and thicker, and holds the hairs where you want them!
24K Multi-Vitamin Day Moisturizer
I haven’t tried the Orogold Moisturizer’s yet, only because the sample sizes were just too perfect for traveling. I also have to admit that the price ($178.00 for 1.7oz full size) is a bit steep for me to spend on a moisturizer, but hey, we’ll see how life-changing it is (and what better time to see the difference than on vacation!).
Overall, I liked the assortment of products – there were definitely more makeup items this month versus the February Glossybox, which was a nice change, especially when you find yourself reaching for the products everyday. 🙂
