Just in time for fall, the October 2016 GLOSSYBOX brings us products to help us unwind and change up our routine for the coming colder and drier weather.
If you’re new to GLOSSYBOX, it’s a monthly subscription box that includes deluxe sized samples along with some full sized ones too! The box costs $21/month (and the value of the products often exceeds $50!).
So without further ado, let’s take a look at the box contents, followed by my October 2016 GLOSSYBOX review…

October 2016 Glossybox Review
The October 2016 includes 5 samples total, all fit for fall and winter. There’s definitely a big emphasis on hydrating skincare this month, in addition to a few other fall-ready picks from other beauty departments. Let’s dig in!
Unani Il-luminate Milk Cleanser (Full size: $18 for 6.7 oz, Value: $18) – This is a full size gentle cleansing milk that uses natural oils to help purify and protect the skin. It smells amazing (sort of sweet and candy-like), with a milk-like texture, only slightly thicker and less runny. It’s super gentle and soothing, and not at all drying, as the oils help hydrate as it cleanses. While it doesn’t completely remove stubborn eye makeup, my skin as a whole is loving it! (Note: Packaging of this full size bottle is a bit different from the one shown on Unani’s website. It features a poppable cap top instead of a pump dispenser.)
Masque Bar Lemon Sheet Mask (Full size: $10.00 for 3 masks, Value: $3.33)- For a little pampering time, GLOSSYBOX has included a sheet essence mask that also helps re-hydrate the skin. It’s packed with soothing and moisturizing ingredients like Lemon Extract, Collagen and Vitamin E. I’m saving this one for my next spa night!
Delceor Aromessence Neroli Hydrating oil serum (Full size: $73.00 for .5 fl oz, Value: $23.36) – What better way to hydrate the skin than with an oil serum. I personally love oil moisturizers/serums, especially in the winter when my skin tends to get super dry. I’m liking this one so far – it’s surprisingly lightweight and easy to spread, plus a little goes a long way. While I’m not crazy about the scent (it’s sort of a messy mix of woodsy and spicy notes), the oil itself feels intensively hydrating and comforting.
Organix Fight Fallout Niacin & Caffeine Root Stimulator Spray (Full size: $8 for 4 fl oz, Value: $8) – The second full-sized item! This spray helps pump up volume at the roots while also encouraging a healthy scalp and strengthening hair to prevent breakage. My hair tends to fall flat at the roots, so I’m excited to try this out. The fact that it nourishes the scalp, too, is a huge plus, especially as we transition into the drier months!
Emite Make Up Lip & Cheek Tint (Full size: $19 for 0.2 fl oz, Value: $19) – This is a full size lip tint that’s perfect for fall and winter – for two reasons. One, it’s a gorgeous, universal dark raspberry color that’s the perfect shade for a natural-looking fall lip. Also, because it slightly stains the lips (and cheeks), it will last through all those pumpkin spice lattes!

Wrap-Up
Overall, the October 2016 GLOSSYBOX features an amazing selection of hydrating skincare and hair care to help us transition into the fall and winter. Three of the products are full size, and the total box value comes to approximately $71.69! Stand-outs for me this month include the Unani Il-luminate Milk Cleanser (I’m in love with the scent and texture) and the Emite Make Up Lip & Cheek Tint (this stuff really lasts!).
