Just in time for fashion’s biggest month of the year, GLOSSYBOX, the leading luxury beauty box in the US, has collaborated with Portuguese artist Antonio Soares for “The Fashion Edition.” This special September edition is influenced by the ‘synonymy of beauty and fashion’, and to go along with the theme, it features a gorgeous box design by Antonio Soares, an internationally acclaimed illustrator.
Glossybox September 2016 Fashion Edition
Similar to the usual GLOSSYBOX monthly boxes, this one features 5+ deluxe sized samples (two of which are full sized this month!). This edition in particular comes packed with a variety of ‘prestige products fashion insiders have been keeping in their beauty bags for last minute touch-ups between runway shows at Fashion Week’, including dry shampoo, lip tints, brow pencils and more. Let’s dig in!
Glossybox September 2016 Fashion Edition Review
Vince Camuto Capri Eau de Parfum – Capri is a “floral bouquet of peach blossom and violet notes” combined with a citrus blend to resemble a “cool breeze off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea”. It’s a very light, feminine, and fruity scent – definitely something I see working more so for spring and summer rather than the fall, but pretty none-the-less!
Sesderma Sensyses Cleanser & C-Vit Moisturizing Serum – I like the sound of ‘lipid bubbles solution’. 🙂 As you may have guessed, it works similar to a micellar water cleanser in that you apply it with a cotton pad, and then use it to remove makeup without having to rinse off. After the cleanser, you follow with the C-Vit Serum to help boost radiance and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. I will definitely be using the Cleanser for quick morning touch-ups, and the serum…well, I don’t know what happened, but there’s barely enough in there for me to experiment with. Upon first application however, I do like how quickly it absorbs, and it definitely does make my skin feel super soft and smooth.
Sally Hershberger 24K Supreme Stylist Dry Shampoo – For a second I thought there might be gold in this…guess not! However, what it does have is added UV protection, on top of its ability to soak up oilies and add volume. While it’s not the best dry shampoo, it does provide extra texture, which I can always use! It has a fresh, floral scent that I also quite like, plus it lingers around for a good bit of time.
MODELLAUNCHER Brow Duo Pencil in ‘Taupe’ – I love this pencil’s angled tip – it makes for an easier, more even application on your brows (kind of reminds me of the Hourglass’s Arch Brow Sculpting pencil.) However, the formula is a little hard and requires some pressure to apply – something I try to avoid as I find it often leads to a loss of brow hairs. On top of that, it also pulls on the skin and then leaves tiny clumps of product behind. Needless to say, I will not be letting this near my brows!
KORRES Modern Creek Apothecary Twist Lipstick in ‘Allure’- The shade I received is a really pretty raspberry – perfect for fall! It provides just the right amount of pigmentation and shine for a natural look, plus it really sticks to lips and appears to even slightly stain them. I particularly love the twist up design – it makes for an easy and almost foolproof application.

Wrap-Up
Overall, the September 2016 GLOSSYBOX had a decent selection of products for fall, with a total box value of just over $50. Stand-outs for me were the Korres Modern Creek Apothecary Twist Lipstick (very handy and foolproof) and the Sally Hershberger 24K Supreme Stylist Dry Shampoo (can’t get enough of those texturing sprays!).
