The Goodbeing Non-Toxic Beauty Box: April 2018 Review & Unboxing

Pacifica Rice Bright Skin Luminizing Smoothing Paste review 1

“Diversity creates harmony, and harmony creates beauty, balance, bounty and peace in nature and society, in agriculture and culture, in science and in politics.” – Vandana Shiva

Happy Friday!  Today I’m back to share some amazing non-toxic, eco-friendly, vegan, and cruelty-free finds from April’s Goodbeing box.

Thanks to my recent move to California, I’ve had quite a few deliveries sent to my old address this past last month, hence why this post is a bit late.  Even still, the products inside April’s box are absolutely amazing and I just had to share ’em with you!

Goodbeing April 2018 reviewGoodbeing April 2018 review 1

For April, I received one of Goodbeing’s ‘beauty & lifestyle’ mixed boxes, which features mostly beauty products, along with 1-2 lifestyle products.  Under the little quote card were two of my own product picks (the first two I have listed below), plus three additional products selected by the Goodbeing team based on my member profile.  Here’s a look at all the non-toxic, eco-friendly, good-for-you products inside…

Pacifica Rice Bright Skin Luminizing Smoothing Paste review

Pacifica Rice Bright Skin Luminizing Smoothing Paste (Full size, Value: $14) – Rice is one of my favorite skincare ingredients (I first fell in love with its benefits after discovering The Body Shop’s rice mask).  For one, it very gently polishes the skin, making it great for all skin types, even sensitive.  It also softens, tones, and noticeably brightens and energizes for an instant glow.  My complexion always looks and feels 10x better afterwards!  I like Pacifica’s creamy paste formula in particular because it’s made for everyday use – you can use it both morning and night as a cleanser for softer, glowing skin (or second cleansing step if you use a pre-cleanser to remove makeup). Vegan.

Dermala Acne Pimple Patches review

Dermala Acne Pimple Patches (Full size, Value: $9.99) – Where have these been all my life?!  Pop one of these clear little patches on a pimple before bed and it absorbs pus and oil while you sleep (and bonus – it prevents picking and touching!).  The best part is, the ingredients are all-natural and non-drying.  I used one on a little zit yesterday and it worked so well – I could see all the gunk on the patch the next morning and my pimple had practically disappeared!  Vegan. (They’re currently on sale for only $4.95 on Dermala’s website!  I’m stocking up!!)

Pure Anada Natural Mascara review

Pure Anada Natural Mascara (Full size, $14) – My new favorite mascara!  I just finished up my tube of Lancome Monsieur Big mascara, and was on the look-out for new one.  While all other natural mascaras I’ve tried have previously been let-downs, this one I fell in love with, ‘at first swipe’ so to speak!  It gives you the look of long, wispy, fairy-like lashes, keeping them separated, defined, and also lifted.  The effect looks so natural yet pretty – as if I’m not wearing any mascara at all!  LOVE. Vegan.

Eco Armour Shave with Benefits Shave Foam review

Eco Armour Shave with Benefits Shave Foam (Deluxe size, Value: $14.99) – Just as the name implies, this shave gel not only helps you get a smooth shave, preventing ingrown hairs, nicks, and bumps, it also moisturizes the skin with aloe, organic glycerin, and essential oils (which also gives it an amazing scent!).  And here’s another interested use – supposedly if you apply a little foam to the razor head and leave it on in-between shaves, it helps extend the life of your blades!  Vegan.

Lesser Evil Himalayan Pink Salt Organic Popcorn review

Lesser Evil Himalayan Pink Salt Organic Popcorn (Sample size, Value: $.62) Lesser Evil is an organic food brand, and this popcorn was the very first product they released.  The recipe is super simple and clean – it’s just non-GMO popcorn topped with organic extra virgin coconut oil and Himalayan pink salt.  Very easy to make on your own at home, but if you want a quick snack on-the-go or to pop in your work/lunch bag, these make a delicious, healthy snack (this little  packet didn’t last me more than a few minutes – they were too tasty!).  Vegan, kosher, and gluten-free.
