I have a bit of an obsession with cream sticks… Not only are they super quick and easy, they also tend to look the most natural in my opinion. Cream stick formulas – as opposed to powders or even cream pots – often fall right in the middle of the spectrum when it comes to finish and texture. They aren’t super oily or slippery (else they wouldn’t work in stick form), but they also aren’t super dry or matte. As a result, they keep the skin looking like skin by adding just the slightest sheen, but also tend to stay put for hours on end without sliding off or transferring.
One of my older favorites comes from another clean beauty brand – ILIA Beauty. I’m still very much in love their formulas, though the shade range I found somewhat limited – it consists of mostly warmer tones and only a soft baby pink. I’d been on the hunt for a richer pink and luckily found the perfect match in HAN’s Cheek & Lip Tint, in the shade Pink Peony.
I imagine this shade would work beautifully for all skin tones. Though it may look a bit bright and intense at first swipe, once blended out, it creates a gorgeous, natural, ‘lit for within’ glow with a slightly dewy finish. The absence of glitter and shimmer makes it look all the more natural – as if you just got back from a quick jog. The best part is, it takes under a minute to achieve this healthy flush – a quick swipe and blend with the fingers, and you get a seamless finish, even when applied over top drier formulas like matte foundations.
Overall, if you’re looking for a highly-pigmented, all-natural, versatile cream that’s effortless to apply (and affordable), I’d absolutely recommend giving HAN’s Cheek & Lip Tints a try!
