Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush
I’ve been trying out a lot of Jelly Pong Pong makeup lately, and was really impressed by their lip stain so I decided to review it for you! Here I’m using the Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush lip stain in ‘Marshmallow Pink’, which is a bright pink that contains some purple/blue tones. It would definitely look good on those with cool skin tones, or with cool-toned makeup looks. I personally think it’s the perfect shade for summer and will be popping this in my purse for a quick, fun look! 🙂
Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush Review
The pigmentation is excellent for a lip stain, and can be easily adjusted to get different looks. You can apply this as a sheer, moisturizing pop of color by applying just one or two swipes, or you can build up its intensity to an almost opaque lipstick by sweeping it back and forth to achieve a bolder pink lip.
And because it has a sheerer texture and comes in a jumbo pencil-like form, it’s easy to apply without the need to pop out a mirror!
I was also impressed with how moisturizing this lip stain actually is – it doesn’t settle into the lines on your lips but instead sort of fills them in and gives your lips a smooth, almost glossy look. According to the Jelly Pong Pong website, the Lip Blush is made with beeswax and ceresin wax, which contributes to its smooth and easy (almost mistaken-proof!) application. Plus, these ingredients help to seal in moisture and act as a lip balm.
Lastly, the staying-power is better than some of my Maybelline (and even MAC) lipsticks. I think that’s one of the perks of choosing to use a lip stain (though I wouldn’t necessary classify this as a ‘stain’, but instead maybe more of a lip ‘tint’ since it can be rubbed off).
Overall, I was really surprised by the Jelly Pong Pong lip blushes and am definitely looking forward to trying out some other colors (they are available on the Jelly Pong Pong website for $15.00. A tad pricey, but these will definitely last you a while!)
