I’m a big fan of Josie Maran’s Argan oil beauty products, so I was really excited when I got the chance to try out her ‘Love & Light’ collection set! It was a 4-piece kit that came at a great deal on QVC – for only around $65, you got four full-size products, valued at over $160! (This particular set appears to be sold out, but there are many other sets available on QVC that let you try out Josie’s products at a great price!)
Over the next week, I’ll be reviewing each product from the collection in my “4 Days of Josie” series! So let’s get started with the first product – the Josie Maran Argan Black Oil mascara.

What It Does
Josie Maran’s Argan Black Oil mascara contains 100% pure argan oil mixed with the blackest-black iron mineral pigments, and infused with the lash strengthening properties of bamboo. Together, these ingredients nourish, lengthen, lift, curl and add volume to your lashes, for a full 24 hours. The formula is creamy in texture, plus it’s made with 91% natural ingredients.
How to Apply
To take advantage of the innovative five-ball brush, it’s recommended that you apply Josie Maran’s Argan Oil mascara from lash roots to tip with a gentle wiggling motion to help the brush hug each lash for optimal lift and curl. You can repeat coats for an even fuller look.

Josie Maran Argan Black Oil Mascara Review
This mascara sure does live up to its name! Immediately, you notice the rich, intense color, which has a slight glossiness to it (kind of like oil!). Just one coat of the Josie Maran Black Oil mascara provides a dramatic increase in length. Lashes maintain their separation, and there’s absolutely no clumping – the creamy texture apply oh-so-smoothly over the lashes. On the second coat, the volume really starts to build up, and so does the intensity of the color. For me, it made my eyes look bigger and brighter.
I wore the Josie Maran Argan Oil mascara all-day, and the curl and lift lasted until it was time for me to take it off at night (that’s 12+ hours!). You can also leave this mascara on all night if you want, to help nourish lashes while you sleep (I’ve heard Josie does this too!).
Overall, I really love the effect of the Black Oil mascara. It really makes my eyes ‘pop’! Best of all, it actually nourishes and strengthens the lashes. For me, that puts it a step above other mascaras!
