With winter making its way out (slowly however, at least over here on the East Coast), I wanted to get a few more wears out of my darker nail polishes before we start to transition into lighter, brighter nail colors for spring. So for this week I chose to go with Julep Mona nail polish. It’s one of those not-quite-black colors that makes for a cool, modern, and wearable look.
Julep Mona Nail Polish
Julep Mona is described as a “Storm cloud grey crème” on the Julep website, but I would actually say that it leans more toward a blue, almost green grey. It’s a pretty unique color to me. The polish is richly pigmented, and two coats (as I’ve applied in the below photo) is enough to get a nice opaque finish. There is no glitter, shimmer, or texture to this polish – just a nice smooth shine.
Julep Mona polish is exceptionally easy to apply too. The only downside is that it takes a while to dry (as is the case with most Julep nail polishes); however, once it’s set, it lasts me for about a week without showing signs of wear or chipping!
Overall, it’s one of my favorites, especially for the Fall and Winter seasons!
