Julep Myriam Nail Polish
Looking for the perfect red? Then you might want to check out the Julep Myriam nail polish. It’s described as a ‘casino red crème’, which I would say translates to a bright warm tomato red. It’s really beautiful and flattering with its orange-based undertones.
The color is quite similar to the Sephora by OPI “High Maintenance” nail polish (remember that one?), which is actually discontinued (to make way for Sephora’s new Formula X polishes). Good thing I found Myriam to replace this old favorite!
Julep Myriam Nail Polish (Two Coats)
I have to admit, I’ve had some trouble with applying certain Julep nail polishes due to their somewhat gloppy formulas. I’m not sure if it’s due to an occasional ‘bad batch’, but I usually read the reviews only to find that other people are having similar struggles.
But more often than not, I’ll find a Julep nail polish that applies like a dream, doesn’t chip for 1+ weeks, and has rich pigmentation. Julep Myriam falls in that category for me. It’s incredibly easy to use and glides on the nails sooo smoothly. Two coats is enough for a solid finish, plus it lasts for quite a while (and even longer with a top coat!).
One thing to note is the drying time. It takes a bit longer than you’d expect with say, the OPI polishes. However, once dry, the polishes come out to be incredibly long-lasting (this is typical of most Julep polishes. I find that they even outlast many of my OPI polishes!).
What’s your favorite red nail polish?
