Spring is in full swing, and I don’t know about you, but it’s gotten me in the mood to do a clean sweep of my makeup stash. What remains in my little three tiered set of drawers and a makeup bag are my HG products, along with a few new discoveries, two of which I was introduced to through the Love Goodly for April & May, one of my favorite clean beauty subscriptions boxes.

Love Goodly April/May 2019 Review
The April/May 2019 Love Goodly Essential box features five items total – from spring-ready, all-natural makeup, to guilt-free snacks. Here’s the full rundown, starting with my new two favorites from natural beauty brand 100% Pure…
100% Pure Cocoa Butter Matte Lipstick (Value: $30) – This is by-far one of my favorite non-toxic lipsticks! The shades are rich and vibrant, and build to full-coverage in just two swipes. Best of all, real fruit pigments give these lipsticks their color – nothing more! The lipsticks are also formulated with cocoa and shea butters, which create a smooth finish while nourishing and moisturizing lips. Subscribers get to choose their lipstick shade – the one I’m wearing here is called ‘Sahara’ (it’s the perfect neutral, medium rosy-nude for someone with light-medium skin!). 100% Pure Bamboo Blur Powder (Value: $41) – If you’re looking for a barely-there, ultra-lightweight setting powder, this is it! The translucent shade (which all subscribers received in the month’s box) is formulated with just one ingredient – bamboo silica – which gives skin a silky, slightly satiny finish while also helping to absorb oil throughout the day.
In addition to the translucent shade (which I’m wearing in the above photo), the powder is also available in three fruit-pigmented, antioxidant-rich shades – light, medium, and tan. You can find all four here on 100% Pure’s website.
ALKA-WHITE The Alkaline Oral Cleanse (Value: $9.99) – Did you know the pH of your mouth can affect things like tooth sensitively, tooth enamel strength, and even your breath? This kit comes with a pH test strip to check your mouth’s current pH levels, along with a 5-day oral cleanse that’s formulated with turmeric and coconut oil to restore natural pH levels, whiten teeth, freshen breath, and improve overall oral health. It’s easy to use too – the effervescent tablets can be dissolved in water or broken up and chewed to create a rinse/paste to use in place of toothpaste, or as a refresher when you’re on-the-go.
