NARS Orgasm Blush
NARS Orgasm blush is probably one of the most popular blushes from NARS. It’s known for being one of those universal colors that looks good on everyone, and gives a sort of ‘glow’ to the skin with its fine gold shimmer (and there’s a lot of it – you can tell by the pan and all the little ‘glitter leftovers’ along the sides!).
NARS Orgasm Blush Review, Swatch, & Application
As you can see from the swatch, NARS Orgasm blush is pretty pinkish-peach color with a golden shimmery sheen. I find it works great as a sort of two-in-one highlighter and blush. The light bounces of the soft gold shimmer and creates a glowy effect, while the peachy pink warms the cheeks.
Because the blush is so pigmented, I find it’s best to apply this with a stippling brush like the MAC 187 Duo Fibre Face Brush or the Sigma F50 Duo Fibre Brush.
In the below photos, you can see what Orgasm looks like after applying only two quick, blended out layers. Already, there’s a noticeable sheen plus a warm peachy-pink color built up on the cheeks.
In terms of longevity, this blush easily lasts 10+ hours. I’ll apply this in the morning and at the end of the day, and it will still have the same color intensity and sheen. Excellent staying power!
Personally, I love wearing this blush during the spring and summer, and in more casual settings (like on weekends or when I’m going out at night). I found it’s a tad too shimmery for work or other more conservative settings.
NARS Orgasm Blush vs. NARS Oasis Blush
For comparison, I brought in my (other) favorite NARS blush in Oasis. Both blushes are pink shades, however Oasis leans more on the cooler side (looks almost purple in the pan, though it’s described as a pink champagne). I find myself wearing Oasis more in the fall and winter just because it’s less shimmery and slightly deeper in color.

From the swatches, you can see the difference between Orgasm and Oasis blush in both color and texture. Orgasm is slightly warmer and packs more shimmer/sheen. Oasis, on the other hand, is a deeper yet cooler pink shade, and has no sheen, and only a few pieces of glitter scattered here and there. Both look gorgeous on the cheeks, and have the same incredible pigmentation and staying power. (If you’d like to see Oasis applied on the cheeks, check out my previous post.)
