Now, without further ado, here’s a look inside the Petit Vour beauty box for March 2018…
“You the wild flower, Unfurling graceful beauty, like sunlit petals.” – Nathan Oldfield
The March 2018 Petit Vour beauty box opens up to an elegant card with the above quote on the cover, along with a brief description of all the products on the inside. Here’s the full rundown of the makeup, hair care, and skincare bits handpicked for this month…
Kahina Giving Beauty Argan Oil (Deluxe size, Value: $10) – I had the pleasure of trying out this exact same sample in The Detox Market’s Best of Green Beauty Bundle, and even since then, it has become a staple in my everyday routine (and my travel routine too, as it’s so multi-functional). Unlike other argan oils I’ve tried in the past, this one is the fastest-absorbing, and it leaves my skin soft and smooth for 24+ hours. I use it everywhere – on my face when it needs some extra hydration, on my legs and feet before bed (it completely restores dry, cracked skin overnight!), rubbed into my cuticles and hands throughout the day, massaged into my hair and scalp, and so on. It’s my favorite ‘miracle’ oil!
Konjac Sponge Co. 100% Pure Konjac Angel Cloth (Full size, Value: $16) – When it comes to exfoliating the skin, a good ol’ washcloth can do the trick just fine, however, these konjac sponges tend to be a little bit gentler on the skin. This one is particular, though in a cute little angel-like fold straight out of the package, opens up to a soft cloth when wet. Used alone, or with your cleanser, it gently exfoliates and cleanses the skin, even around the more delicate eye area. Honestly, if I could use this one for the rest of the year and then some, I would. The one drawback? At $16, the price is considerable more expensive than other konjac sponges/cloths on the market, and considering you have to replace it every 2-3 months, this can turn into quite the little investment!
Yarok Feed Your Ends Leave-In Conditioner (Deluxe size, Value: $14) – The first thing I did when I pulled this out of the box was take a little whiff, and boy does it smell amazing! At first, I was sensing lemongrass, but it turns out it’s a combination of rosemary and may chang (a new one to me!) essential oils. The ingredients list is pretty minimal, which I like – it includes nourishing oils like jojoba, olive, grapeseed, apricot, and primrose. And the best part is, they’re all packed inside a spray bottle, which allows for a quick and easy application.
Everyday Minerals Velvet Eyes Eyeshadow (Full size, Value: $6) – I was beyond excited to see an Everyday Minerals eyeshadow in the box. (Not that I need any more in my collection after splurging on their Makeup Diary kits… :P) For loose mineral powders, they offer impressive pigmentation and the formula is super silky and effortless to apply (I use my fingers most days to both apply and blend them out). The shade I received in my box is called ‘Fresh, Glowing’, which is a very light beige-tan shade, designed to add ‘subtle warmth’, according to Everyday Minerals’ website. It’s definitely not my favorite shade – it’s almost an exact match for my skin tone and therefore almost completely disappears. However, I do love the beautiful satiny sheen it leaves behind, so for that reason, I may get some use out of it as an all-over base shade. Here’s a quick swatch…
