Now that we’re in the latter half of Summer, I’ve been thinking about what to add to my wardrobe to prep for Fall. One style I love is the classic, feminine, and effortless look of a dress, long jacket, and a pair of heels. It’s my go-to work outfit all the way to my night-out outfit. Add a pair of tights, and it easily transitions into Winter.
I personally love the look of sheath dresses – they highlight our curves and waistlines, and ultimately create a super sexy and sophisticated look. But for one reason or another, some days I just want something more comfortable to wear (maybe it’s a Friday, or perhaps I ate too much pizza the night before…;)). Something that doesn’t show off every inch, and every curve.
Enter the shift dress. It’s a refreshing change from the tight sheathes dresses in that it fits slightly looser around the body (particularity around the waist) and is way more forgiving and comfortable overall.
In my quest for a new shift dress to add to my Fall wardrobe, I came across the dress from VIPme and fell in love. It’s made with a somewhat heavier knit fabric that makes it perfect for the approaching cooler weather. It adds some stretch as well while still maintaining its shape as you move around throughout the day.
With the more relaxed fit, this dress brings full attention to the legs. To further play them up, I paired it with heel nudes to create a more elongated look.
To top it off, this dress is adorned with gemstones all around the bottom hem and sleeves. This dresses up the outfit, and frankly makes accessorizing a bit easier! I felt I only needed to add a few simple accessories to finish the look – here I paired it with a simple black choker and a silver cuff just to add some edginess.
You can find this dress plus literally hundreds more over on VIPme.com, as well as through their VIPme App – available for both IOS and Android. (VIPme currently ships to the US and the UK.)
