As it gets warmer and warmer, and the days longer, all I can think about is taking that long overdue trip to the beach. I imagine unpacking my (adorable) suitcase, and wearing bright skirts with crop tops, sexy one-pieces (oh yes, they can be sexy), strappy sandals, and a few timeless accessories. Here are some of my top picks for this Summer.
First thing on my list – a cute travel bag of course, and one that stands out. I love this White Panelled Suitcase in particular, with its vintage brown tones and contrasting white panels. It’s sure to be easy to spot at baggage collection (which means less time spent at the airport, and more time at your getaway destination).
For beach-wear, I couldn’t be happier that one-pieces are back in style. They’re flattering and feminine (sometimes more so than a bikini in my opinion), and with the right shape and detailing, can be sexy without giving too much away. 😉 The black lace swimsuit, for example, shows off a sexy silhouette with all-over lace and strappy detailing, while the rust-colored swimsuit lets a little skin peek through the crisscross sides. Throw in an exotic looking cover-up for an easy transition from the beach to the nearest cafe/boardwalk/lounge/wherever, and you’re set!
Black crop tops make easy pairing with any summer skirt or pair of shorts, particularly longer, free-flowing skirts like this yellow wrap front midi. Add in some gold heels to further elongate the legs, and a cute cream-colored fedora hat, and you’ve got my go-to outfit for summertime. 🙂
