Welcome to another month of Vegan Cuts! Today we’re unboxing their Beauty Box for the month of December.
New to the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box? It’s a monthly subscription service that delivers 4-7 vegan and cruelty-free beauty products to your door (most of which are also organic and natural). Samples range from deluxe to full-size, and feature both indie and more mainstream brands. It costs $22.95 on a month-to-month basis, with free shipping to the US (as well as Canada for an additional $9, and worldwide for an additional $15). In addition to their Beauty Box, Vegan Cuts also offers a monthly Snack Box and a quarterly Makeup Box.
So without further ado, let’s jump right into my December 2016 Vegan Cuts Beauty Box unboxing and review!
Vegan Cuts December 2016 Beauty Box Review
Juice Beauty Green Apple Shampoo & Conditioner ($4.50 each) – This little cleansing duo was formulated to create the look of brighter and healthier hair through a blend of antioxidant rich organic botanical juices, thickening soy proteins, and fortifying barley protein. It doesn’t contain sulfates, which is a huge plus for my dry scalp, plus it smells super juicy and refreshing!
Modish Polish in ‘Control Freak’ ($12) – The perfect bold red for winter and holiday parties! The formula is 5-free and provides amazing pigmentation that builds up to full coverage in two coats complete with gorgeous shine.
Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream ($6) – This day cream features a satiny-soft formula that contains alpine rose stem cells, pomegranate, and aloe vera to keep skin moisturized and glowing. It’s actually pretty lightweight, so I’ll probably be saving this for spring and summer, or layering it up during the winter.
Crazy Rumors Leaping Bunny Lip Balm ($4) – This lip balm has a unique plum-apricot flavor that I absolutely love. It contains 100% natural ingredients including macadamia and jojoba seed oils, shea butter, and olive oil, making it my lips’ new best friend!
DeVita Absolute Softlines Eyeliner Pencil in Absolute Obsidian ($15) – This was probably my least favorite item in the box. It’s an intense black eyeliner with deep pigments, the only issue I had with it is that it’s very dry and hence difficult to apply. It just kept tugging on my skin, and would not glide smoothly or evenly.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the December Vegan Cuts Beauty Box was perfectly curated for the winter season, with bold makeup and hydrating skin and lip care. My box favorites include the Crazy Rumors Lip Balm (it’s hydrating, 100% natural, and smells amazing), and the Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream (love the scent and silky-smooth formula).
