Vegan Cuts October 2016 Beauty Box Review

In total, the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box for October packed 5 products (3 deluxe, and 2 full-size), ranging from makeup, skincare, body care, and hair care. Here are all the products, along with my initial impressions of each.

Juice Beauty Green Apple Body Moisturizer (Size: 1.2 fl oz, Value: $5) – I’ve tried Green Apple’s facial moisturizer and wasn’t too crazy about it, but this body moisturizer I actually like.  It’s more lightweight, absorbs fairly quickly, plus the scent is very fresh and unique – it smells like a fresh apple orchard with lots of earthiness (think grass, and dirt!).

Revive Bath & Body Homemade Soap (Value: $2.50) – I’m a big fan of handmade soaps – they don’t dry out my skin, are typically naturally formulated, plus they always smell amazing!  This one is made from vegetable-based oils, and is free of harmful chemicals, preservatives, parabens, and synthetics. I received the Peppermint, Rosemary and Lemon Oil scented one and it’s very fragrant – I may end up leaving it in my dresser drawer to ‘freshen up’ my clothes! 😉

Eden Bodyworks Peppermint Tea Tree Shampoo (Size: 2 fl oz, Value: $2.59) – Another winter-ready product!  This shampoo contains tea tree which is known to help hydrate the scalp, plus it’s free of harsh detergents and chemicals that can dry out the hair and scalp.  It also contains peppermint which helps to improve circulation and creates a tingling feeling on the scalp – something I very much enjoy! 🙂

Palmetto Derma Rejuvenating Antioxidant Mask (Size: 1.75 fl oz, Value: $64) – This is a full-size mask, and though it’s not so obvious from the name, it is quite the multi-tasker.  It also contains Kaolin Clay to purify and absorb oilies, Glycolic Acid to exfoliate, Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate, plus lots of antioxidants!

The All Natural Face Vegan Lip Gloss in Frosted Berries (Size: .43 fl oz, Value: $4.60) – I love this lip product (it’s full-size by the way too)!  It’s so creamy and hydrating, and a little bit goes a long way.  It’s also quite silky and lightweight for a gloss, and – bonus – it leaves a slight sheen without a heavy or sticky feeling.  I received the shade Frosted Berries, which is a really pretty medium plum.  Considering they’re all-natural and vegan, and only $4.60 a piece, they really are a steal!  I may be picking up a few more shades myself. 😉

Final Thoughts

Overall, there’s a lot to like about this month’s Vegan Cuts Beauty BoxI love that it fits in with the season by featuring hydrating, winter-ready products that, together, make a fun little pampering kit.  I loved the mix of products, too, and especially how everything smells – from the soap and body lotion, to the shampoo and facial mask.  My box favorites so far include the The All Natural Face Vegan Lip Gloss (it’s super hydrating!), and the Revive Homemade Soap (it smells amazing, plus they donate a portion of their sales to HavenATL.)
