Sometimes you find hidden gems in unexpected places. As was the case when I discovered this new eye shadow palette from the airbrush makeup brand Luminess Air. (Who would have thought they mastered both formulas?) Before we jump into the two looks I created, let’s take a look at all the shades inside!
Luminess Air Nude & Naughty Palette
Rather provocatively named, the Nude & Naughty palette from Luminess Air offers 36 total shadows to experiment with and create a custom look. Essentially, there are the ‘nudes‘ (light and neutral shades) and the ‘naughty‘ shades (deeper, smokier shades), which give a whole lot of flexibly out of just one (extremely portable) palette.
As you can see, the Nude & Naughty palette offers a great mix of mattes and shimmer shades, soft nudes and deep metallics. The shades are all impressively pigmented, and show amazing color payoff even with one quick swipe. They also have a smooth, velvety texture that’s makes them easy to blend out, plus they last all day on me with very little creasing. Here are two looks I created – one using blues and silvers, and another using warmer golds and tans.
Other products used:
- Luminess Air Eyebrow Pencil
- Luminess Air Mascara
- Dark grey eyeliner
Blue & Silver Eyeshadow Look
For the cool eyeshadow look, I used a mix of five shades from the Nude & Naughty Palette. The white shimmery shade was used in the inner corner, the shimmery teal-blue was used on the lid, and the matte dark teal was used in the outer 1/3 corner. I used the brown shade for the crease, and black for the very outer v. (No primer was used underneath.) I actually applying my eye liner first, which transitioned from a dark grey to a navy blue once the shadow was applied over top. I also liner my waterline, and then added mascara.
Gold & Tan Eyeshadow Look
For the warmer eyeshadow look, I used two of the shimmery gold shades (left most shades) on the lid and bottom inner 1/3, a matte medium orange-brown shade in the crease (top most shade), and the brown and darker grey-brown shade (right most column) to deepen the crease and outer v. I also used the darkest shade on the bottom outer 2/3’s. (Again, I did not use a primer underneath these.) I finished by tight-lining my top and bottom lash lines, and then added some mascara.
Above are just two looks I’ve created using Luminess Air’s Nude & Naughty Palette – I can’t wait to play with the rose and mauve shades next!
Overall, Luminess Air’s Nude & Naughty Palette offers one versatile, ultra-portable set of shadows. (And guess what? It’s currently on sale for only $10!) Luminess Air also offers a full line of cosmetics (including the waterproof mascara and eyebrow pencil I used for this look) plus a wide range of airbrush products.
