Just this past January, Wet n Wild released their new Mega Cushion collection, which offers us not one or two, but six different complexion-enhancing products (along with a few lip products as well). Today I’m reviewing the one I’ve been most looking forward to – their Mega Cushion Highlight.
Wet N Wild Mega Cushion Highlight
This Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Highlight features a no-mess cushion sponge application, housed in a cute and ultra-portable compact. It’s currently available in one shade called ‘Who’s That Pearl’, which is a soft white-pink/peach with a subtle amount of micro-shimmer. I imagine it would work for really any skin tone and depth as it’s neutral-toned and also buildable (looks great sheer, and even layered for more intensity). Better yet, the Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Highlight formula is cruelty-free, fragrance-free, gluten free, and vegan.
Like you’d expect from a cushion makeup product, the Mega Cushion Highlight’s formula feels amazingly lightweight on the skin – almost barely-there. It’s actually quite sheer, with no crazy amounts of glitter or shimmer, making it practically foolproof (and office-friendly). One light layer is enough to create a soft, subtly reflective sheen. You can also build it up to go from sheer, to semi-sheer, all the way up to full coverage (if, say, you are looking to use this on the eyelids, etc). The texture is silky-smooth and easy to blend out using your fingers, and provides a nice even finish with no stickiness whatsoever.

To apply the Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Highlight on-to-go, I’ll lightly press the sponge against the product-soaked cushion and do 2-3 swipes over the cheeks, then I’ll blend it out using my fingers.
The cushion isn’t my favorite for applying – the shape often results in a not-so-precise application – however, it works just fine for on-the-go. At home though, I tend to reach for my beauty.blusher by beautyblender for a bit more control and precision.

Another small downside is that, because the container is pretty small and the cushion isn’t super saturated with product, I don’t expect it to last that long. Thankfully though, at a low $5.99, isn’t not a huge budget buster.

Cushion Contour & Correctors
To complete Wet N Wild’s new Cushion makeup collection, they’ve also thrown in the Mega Cushion Contour, plus four color correctors. I haven’t tried these (yet), but considering how much I’m loving the Cushion Highlighter, I predict that I may been trying them out soon. Until then, here’s a quick look at each one.

Mega Cushion Contour
The Wet N Wild Mega Cushion Contour is currently available in one shade – Cafe au Slay. It features a similar lightweight, ultra-blendable formula to the Highlighter, only the Contour contains silica to help give it a smooth, velvety texture for easier spreading and blending. The formula is cruelty-free, fragrance-free, gluten free, and vegan.
The Mega Cushion Contour ($5.99) are available at Walgreens and wetnwildbeauty.com.

Mega Cushion Color Correctors
The Mega Cushion Color Correctors are available in four different shades: Green (for redness), Yellow (for neutralizing dark circles, veins, etc), Peach (for brightening dark circles), and Lavender (for neutralizing unwanted yellow undertones/sallowness). Similar to the other Cushions, the four are cruelty-free, fragrance-free, gluten free, and vegan.
The Mega Cushion Color Correctors ($5.99) are available at walmart.com and wetnwildbeauty.com.
